There are plenty of beautiful walking trails in and around Mindarie.
South Mindarie Walking Trail
Behind Claytons Beach you have the South Mindarie Walking trail.
You can enter this trail from numerous places, there are two entrances along Long Beach Promenade, one on the corner of Anchorage and Long Beach Promenade and another at the Claytons Beach car park. If you’re driving your vehicle to the trail then there is park along Long Beach Promenade or at Claytons Beach.
As per this map from the City of Wanneroo there are trails that run parallel to the beach or alternatively you can head straight towards the ocean and the trail will take you directly to the beach.
There are some great look outs along the way so be sure to take in the scenery. There are also a few dunes off the track that provide magnificent views so be sure to look out for these.

Look out for snakes!
One word of warning, as I’ve lived in the area a long time and walked these tracks many of times, be sure to keep an eye out for Dugite snakes heading into summer. Similar to the one in the photo below, although not often, you sometimes find then laying on the edge of the path usually taking in the sun during the morning hours.
